Girls Inc. is seeking women to be volunteer mentors for this exciting initiative in our Odyssey after school program. The Odyssey after school program provides academic and social support for girls in grades 6 to 8, to strengthen girls’ voices and build their confidence -enabling them to pursue leadership roles, discover new interests and experience healthy risk taking. Odyssey serves as a springboard for girls to set personal and educational goals for themselves and to envision successful futures. Mentors will meet once a week with four middle school girls at Girls Inc. of Lynn from 5:00-6:00 PM in addition to attending field trips as available and carrying out a service learning project. Make a difference in the lives of middle school girls in Lynn with this exciting new program!
