October 11, 2018– Lynn, MA – Girls Inc. of Lynn received the Above and Beyond Award of Excellence from the Women’s Founder’s Circle at the 16th Annual Luncheon of the Women’s Fund of Essex County. The grant is awarded each year to an agency whose vision and work is so exemplary that they go above and beyond to meet the needs of their clients. Voted each spring and kept confidential, the award winner is announced at the Annual Grant Awards Luncheon in October. “To say the least we were surprised and honored to receive the award from such an organization that values the work of so many organizations on the north shore. ,” said jubilant Executive Director of Girls Inc. of Lynn Deb Ansourlian.
Founder’s Circle Award
This unrestricted award of $30,000 is presented to an agency selected by The Founder’s Circle, a group of retired Advisory Board members who remain passionate about our mission and work. The award is given to an agency whose “vision and work on behalf of women and girls is so exemplary that it goes above and beyond to meet the needs of its clients.” This year’s recipient teaches health and well-being, offers opportunities for leadership and empowerment and promotes economic well-being among its members. This agency advocates for increased opportunities and rights for all girls. This agency encourages girls to be strong, smart and bold.
